with Aging & Dementia Expert Anya Parpura, MD, PhD
Take care of yourself so you can take care of others.
Have you ever been caught off guard and overwhelmed by the challenge of caregiving to a parent, spouse, sibling, partner or friend in the midst of your busy life? At The Kensington Falls Church, we understand the unique challenges of caregiving for someone with memory loss.
Join Dr. Anya Parpura, Aging & Dementia Expert, for a summer of caregiving on the first Wednesday of each month in July and August for an interactive group discussion designed to help you understand and deal with both sides of caregiving, providing it and receiving it.
Wednesday, July 6th from 6:30-8 pm EDT-
From Words to Word Salad & The Importance of Non-verbal Communication
Wednesday, August 3rd from 6:30-8 pm EDT-
Navigating Ambivalent Feelings as a Caregiver
Caregiving crosses all illnesses, conditions and health concerns. Providing care for loved ones often leads to feeling intimidated, confused, frustrated and exhausted. Sharing your caregiving journey in a safe environment not only relieves stress, but also provides you with solutions. Any questions regarding this event, please reach out to Kayla Peters, kpeters@kensingtonsl.com.
