A Monthly Gathering for Caregivers

with Aging & Dementia Expert Anya Parpura, MD, PhD

Take care of yourself so you can take care of others.

The holiday season is a great time to share the joys of togetherness and tradition. But for families whose aging relatives are showing signs of decline, the holidays can also be stressful and even, sad. At The Kensington, we understand that caregiving for someone with dementia is a demanding responsibility. We also believe it is one you should not undertake alone.

Join The Kensington Falls Church and Aging & Dementia Expert Dr. Anya Parpura, MD, PhD for this interactive discussion, Holiday Decisions In Light of Dementia. If you notice that a senior family member seems more overwhelmed than overjoyed during the holidays, then use this opportunity to pay close attention to signs of concern.

Sharing these experiences with others going through similar journeys can relieve stress and provide you with the tools to help you navigate the future. Please join Dr. Anya, an expert in aging and dementia as she leads our program and shares information, advice and support in a welcoming, private setting.

Aleksandra (Anya) Parpura, MD, PhD, an expert in aging and dementia, will lead our Caregiver Connect program. Dr. Anya is the president of Aging Perspectives, Inc., the Scientific Review Officer for variety of biomedical programs, an adjunct professor at The Catholic University of America, and a faculty member at the Washington School of Psychiatry. Dr. Parpura brings to us vast knowledge, helpful tips and a kind heart.
