September is Fall Prevention Month! As a trusted resource for caregivers regarding all aspects of the wellness and safety of aging loved ones, we are pleased to bring you an evening of education, community and advice from local medical experts.
Our gathering begins with a documentary screening of “Saving Claire,” a thoughtful exploration of one woman’s aging journey. The film offers an honest portrayal of the challenges that evolve from resisting change and common behavioral patterns that increase the risk of falls. Claire’s story is a cautionary tale, detailing her attitudes and actions, the unfortunate downward spiral after her fall, and the dramatic events that ensue.
After the screening, we will engage in an insightful panel discussion with a geriatric care manager, physical therapist, trauma expertise, and first responder. Light bites and beverages will be served.
