Layla Bizri is a Community Educator with the Alzheimer’s Association who has spent the past year leading local workshops across Fairfax County, including in her own neighborhood of Pimmit Hills. As a pre-med student at George Mason University, Layla’s passion for Alzheimer’s education stems from her experience with family members affected by dementia and her ongoing interest in the intersection of brain health and social equity. She focuses her work on empowering caregivers with practical tools, early warning signs to look for, and preventative steps grounded in real science—always aiming to make complex topics understandable and meaningful to the community she serves.
