The story of Dick Riddell, who served as the last commander of the world’s first nuclear powered submarine, the USS Nautilus, and who retired as a two-star admiral after a 40-year career in the US Navy.
Dick’s journey, as presented by his wife, Anne, takes us back to his childhood in the Washington D.C. suburbs in the 1940’s and 1950’s, then to the U.S. Naval Academy and into the nuclear submarine program, working at General Dynamics and later battling Parkinson’s disease.
