Join us for an insightful event with Dr. Tippi Geron, OTD, OTR/L, CCM, in recognition of Mental Health Awareness Month. A Doctor of Occupational Therapy, Certified Case Manager, and Program Director at Shenandoah University, Dr. Geron specializes in mental health, dementia, stroke and brain injury, and home modifications. This discussion will explore the impact of aging on mental health and emotional well-being, addressing common challenges such as depression, anxiety, loneliness, and cognitive changes. Dr. Geron will provide practical strategies to enhance quality of life, including ways to foster social connection, adapt to life transitions, and support cognitive and emotional resilience. Whether you’re a caregiver, professional, or aging adult, this session offers valuable insights to promote mental wellness and a fulfilling life. 

At The Kensington Falls Church, we are committed to being a trusted resource for individuals and families. Through education, support, and meaningful conversations, we strive to empower and connect our community. This event is free and open to the public.   

Tippi Geron is a Doctor of Occupational Therapy and is licensed in Virginia and Washington, DC. Additionally, she is a Certified Case Manager. An assistant professor and Program Director at Shenandoah University’s Occupational Therapy Doctorate Program, Tippi has also served as an assistant professor in The George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences in the past. She is a staunch advocate across the age and abilities spectrum with a special focus on clinically complicated situations, mental health, stroke and brain injury, dementia, low vision and home modification. A published author and expert witness, Tippi formed CCS to ensure all populations have access to quality care.
