The Kensington’s inaugural Thanksgiving celebration was genuinely remarkable! We were blessed and honored to have so many families join. You could feel the love and spirt in the air. Our hearts united, remembering just how truly blessed we are at The Kensington Falls Church!
Our day started off with the viewing of the 91st Annual Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade at 9am. We then moved into a beautiful and touching moment where residents and Kensington team members gathered in the lobby of the 2nd floor to sing Thanksgiving Hymns and songs! The crowd favorite, “We gather Together to Ask the Lord’s Blessings…” will leave an indelible footprint in our heart as we witnessed the true meaning and messaging of the song in unity! We couldn’t have made the magic happen if it weren’t for our extraordinary Kensington friend, Sara, who blessed us with her time and talent on the piano and lead us all in song!
Our Culinary & Dining team did an extraordinary job at hosting an amazing array of traditional Thanksgiving Day cuisine in a never-ending buffet offered in all three neighborhoods! Classical guitarists serenaded us all as conversations and laughter lasted throughout the day! After our tummy’s were full and souls were nourished, we ended the day with football viewings in either of our two cinemas! It was an extraordinary day and our heart were full of gratitude and love!
