We are proud to share the feedback from some of our families and residents.
“Moving my father to The Kensington is the best decision we ever made. I felt like Goldilocks when I looked at other living facilities. Every place I visited was ‘too much’ or ‘not enough,’ but when I walked into The Kensington, it felt ‘just right.’
The staff are skilled and compassionate, and they treat everyone like family. The decor makes it feel like a hotel or an upscale apartment community. The food is excellent. My family likes The Kensington so much that my cousin has even started volunteering there for her high school community service project.
I’m decades away from retirement, but I’m already thinking about how I can move to The Kensington.”

“The best thing I ever did for my mother was move her to The Kensington.”

“I hope you know that what you and your staff have done for us is so much more than amazing. From having Mom live with us, to our bad experience with [another assisted living community], to her finally ending up with you, truly has been life altering for me. I am not good at speaking in front of a group but I felt like I was just talking to extended family. We are thrilled with the care Mom receives at TKFC. I hope that is what we conveyed. She is treated like she is family. I am happy to share our Kensington experience with anyone, anytime.“

“It’s really hard to believe that its been three months to the day that our Dad has moved to The Kensington. Time has truly flown, and it’s been a journey to say the least.
Initially, we didn’t know what to expect. As each day passed, we have joined arms and worked together to make it a successful transition for Dad. The attention, respect, and personal care he gets from your staff is evident in every single interaction. I can truly say he is doing extremely well, and it shows in his smile, demeanor, and engagement with other residents.
Our family is so happy, and we just wanted to express a token of appreciation through this video.”

“We moved into The Kensington Falls Church during its first weeks of operation. We found facilities that are both elegant and efficient, activities that are varied and stimulating, a competent and accessible administration, and staff personnel (of all specializations) who are friendly and concerned with the welfare of residents. Arrangements for health-maintenance and -improvement are well planned and carefully carried out. The quality and variety of the food served deserves special commendation. The Kensington has rather different policies and practices than other assisted-living residences (including dining freely accessible to family and guests). It seems to us that those differences strongly support the good qualities we notice. We have greatly enjoyed our first few months here — and look forward to continuing satisfaction in the future.”

“The Kensington is like a five-star hotel, but with better, more personalized service. My mother was terrified of moving in, but now that she is there, she couldn’t be happier. Everyone is so kind and helpful. Gives me a lot of piece of mind knowing that she is so well cared for.”

“Kensington staff are the greatest! Not only are they friendly and outgoing, but they pay close attention to each resident’s unique needs — and carefully coordinate their efforts to deal with them. This communication among different areas — care staff, activities staff, rehab department and dining room — makes me feel confident that my parent is getting the best care available in Northern Virginia.”
-Daughter of Resident
“Transitions and change are often difficult; the Kensington has helped ease my father’s transition, providing peace of mind to the family members. The Kensington provides a safe environment. It is an active community with strong social programs, enabling my father to quickly make connections.
The Kensington offers caregiver support programs and actively integrates the family into my father’s life and care. The resident is first at the Kensington, and the staff have worked hard to get to know my father as a person. They are warm and welcoming and offer active resident outreach programs. They provide holistic, wellness care, individualized to him at his level.
The staff work to preserve my father’s dignity and independence as much as possible. When entering the Kensington, they gave him an opportunity to start in the assisted living neighborhood and enabled him to stay in that neighborhood; making adjustments in his level of care as necessary.
The physical aspects of the Kensington speak for themselves. It is a beautiful facility with spacious suites my father could transform into his home. There are plenty of amenities on every floor and excellent cuisine.
As a new facility there are a few kinks to smooth out but it’s a safe harbor and home for my father.”

“Being in business for over 26 years dealing largely in senior affairs, The Kensington Falls Church heads my list of quality assisted living facilities. I was responsible for moving a client into The Kensington. From the first day we thought of moving in, through the move-in day, to now –service for the residents, families, and care givers is outstanding. My thanks and commendation to every employee top down!! Well Done!!”

“The Kensington assisted living facility in Virginia has been providing outstanding services for my client who I recently moved there from the District of Columbia. Most marketing/sales people make promises for services and care and often fall short once the client moves in. Not The Kensington! My client has been thriving with the attentive care and The Kensington staff on ALL levels really do care and it shows. As a Geriatric Care Manager, I can trust that my clients will receive all the services they require from The Kensington lifestyle approach.”
– Betty M., Geriatric Care Manager
“We moved our mother into Memory Care after her dementia worsened while she was living with our stepfather in England. As you can well imagine, it was a daunting task to find a good facility and then bring her back to the US. We looked at four places after consulting with Insight, an Alzheimer’s Memory Care non profit in Fairfax County. We chose The Kensington for its caring and attentive staff, the activities, and the cheery atmosphere. The staff went out of their way to assist us in freeing up a place for Mom as her condition worsened.
I can not say enough about the staff and the care our mother has received and continues to receive. Though at times, she resents having to stay in a memory care facility, she trusts and appreciates the staff and enjoys many of the activities. We visit at different times 3-4 times a week and have always found her to be engaged and well cared for.
I highly recommend The Kensington.”
