When I joined the extraordinary Kensington team on August 31st, I brought with me over 1.5 years of BINGO calling experience, as a “professional volunteer” (wink wink) at a local Assisted Living community. I was hopeful that we might “give BINGO a chance” here at The Kensington so Dora and I mustered up the courage and assembled a group of residents who were more than eager to play with us!
We were thrilled with what we felt was a fantastic turnout for our first BINGO event! Thus far, we have played BINGO twice. Several residents have walked away with more money than what they came with! It is my sincere hope that we might play more often and more regularly as it is generally just pure, unadulterated fun! In addition, several of our residents have expressed a desire to play BINGO in the evening hours, after dinner. We would like to offer that and we envision both residents and families joining in on the fun!
