A memory café is a gathering of individuals with memory loss along with their caregivers, friends and/or family in a safe supportive and engaging environment. Famille at The Kensington is all about family – together it is a social gathering – an opportunity to make new friends and interact with others without fear of embarrassment or being misunderstood. Many also find it as an avenue for sharing concerns and providing support as well.
The memory café is a special partnership between Famille, The Kensington Falls Church, Falls Church Arts and Insight Memory Care Center. Programs will be led by a creative art recreation therapist along with Insight staff, creating a fun and engaging environment for everyone!
Come and share a cup of coffee, participate in an activity while meeting others for support, companionship and fun!
