Nourishing the Mind: The Powerful Connection Between Brain Health and Nutrition

Join us at The Kensington Falls Church for an engaging and informative conversation exploring the powerful connection between heart health, brain health, and nutrition. This program will highlight practical, everyday strategies to support cognitive wellness, energy, and overall vitality through healthy lifestyle choices as we age.

This session will be led by Melissa J. Long, a Certified Recreational Therapist and Certified Dementia Practitioner with over 20 years of experience delivering person-centered, goal-oriented therapy for individuals living with complex diagnoses. Drawing from her extensive background in dementia care, therapeutic recreation, and strengths-based approaches, Melissa will share approachable tips and insights that support both brain function and cardiovascular health for individuals and caregivers alike.

At The Kensington Falls Church, our community is here to support individuals and families by offering education, connection, and trusted resources to help navigate aging with confidence and care. This event is free and open to the public, and guests are invited to enjoy light bites and refreshments prepared by Chef Daniel in a welcoming, supportive setting.
