We are committed to expanding our offerings of spiritual services and connections that are hosted at The Kensington We are grateful for our group from St. James that visit with us on Friday mornings to pray the Rosary. We look forward to fostering further relationships with the Catholic Church to host perhaps an evening Mass here at The Kensington.
In September, we hosted several Jewish services (Rosh Hashanah, Yum Kippur) and we celebrated Sukkot on October 11th . These services are always open to all residents and the number of people attending continues to grow and several residents are now having family members join them.
We are also pleased to announce that on Sunday, October 15th at 9:30 am in the 2nd floor Cinema, The Kensington will host our first Christian Church service. The Episcopal Church of McLean, St Dunstan’s, will visit The Kensington and we will have a general Christian sermon and service and all residents are welcome! Reverend Shepherd will preside over the service and will bring several youth group members from the church as well.
As a final note, if you or your family members have any spiritual connection that you would like to see incorporated into our community, please reach out to Robyn Lighthammer and she will be delighted to work at establishing a partnership with The Kensington. Several of our residents venture out to attend services but we would welcome the opportunity to host various faiths here on site, so please let us know how we can best serve you and your spiritual needs.
