Hope for Parkinson’s: A Conversation with Leading Inova Movement Disorders Specialists

Dr. Hannah Irving, MD is a board-certified neurologist and fellowship-trained movement disorders specialist. Dr. Walters specializes in the management of Parkinson’s disease and other movement disorders. She has specialized training in the use of botulinum toxin injections and DBS (deep brain stimulation) for movement disorders and has co-written several journal articles. She also serves as Assistant Professor at UVA School of Medicine Inova Campus.

Dr. Drew Falconer, MD is board certified in neurology and is a fellowship-trained movement disorders specialist. He is the Director of the Inova Parkinson’s and Movement Disorders Center and specializes in advanced care of patients with Parkinson’s disease, essential tremor and other movement disorders. He is uniquely qualified in the areas of deep brain stimulation (DBS) and botulinum toxin injections. Dr. Falconer speaks nationally on various topics in Movement Disorders and is a respected national educator in Parkinson’s Disease and DBS. Dr. Falconer serves as Associate Professor of Neurology at the UVA School of Medicine Inova Campus. He is a member of the International Parkinson and Movement Disorder Society, serves on the Telehealth Subcommittee of the American Academy of Neurology, and serves on the medical advisory board for the Parkinson Foundation of the National Capital Area (PFNCA).

Dr. Sean Rogers, MD is a board-certified neurologist and fellowship-trained movement disorders specialist. As a movement disorders specialist and Co-Founder of the Inova Parkinson’s Disease and Movement Disorders center, he specializes in the treatment of Parkinson’s disease and other movement disorders, with specific training in deep brain stimulation (DBS) and botulinum toxin injections. As Medical Director of the Inova Memory Disorders Program, he also has specialization in a variety of memory disorders, including the different forms of dementia (such as Alzheimer’s disease and Lewy Body Disease), stroke, brain injury or infection. He also serves as an Associate Professor of Neurology, and Associate Clerkship Director at the UVA School of Medicine.
