Art allows us to be creative and tap into talents we never knew we had so we welcome you to come explore with us. The Kensington will be forming an Art Therapy Group designed as an opportunity to communicate with others and express yourself. You do not have to have any previous artistic abilities to join the group. All you need is an open mind and a willingness to experiment with art supplies, ease stress, manage pain, and help cope with loss.
Art has proven to be a creative and fun way to improve cognitive and motor skills, gain resilience and coping skills, and increase a sense of empowerment. Please join us on the 2nd and 4th Thursday of each month (October 12th & 26th) at 1:00 pm in the Cinema! Our resident artists participating in the Art Therapy classes will have an opportunity to share their artwork in a Kensington Art Gallery Exhibition in the Spring!
