Well Fed at The Kensington

Chef Samir and his team in Dining Services are offering new additions to the menu as we all look forward to the warm summer months ahead.  Most recently, residents can be observed enjoying delightful mini scones and a variety of tasty cookies and desserts displayed and readily consumed with a cup of tea or coffee throughout the day.  These appealing treats are the handiwork of our new dining professional, pastry chef Molly Dominick.  The buttery mini scones are something to talk about.  Look for them next time you visit!

Chef Samir showcases his summer salads and sandwiches.

In addition, Chef Samir introduced a summer sandwich and salad menu which will be offered to residents and their families throughout the coming months. All our meats are made in-house, as is Chef Samir’s signature light herb spread alternative to mayonnaise. A healthy and appealing variety of sandwiches include sliced beef and brie on a multigrain roll, albacore tuna salad on seeded wheat bread, turkey and garnishes on a delicious dark fruit and nut bread (this description does not do the sandwich justice) and vegetables on walnut bread. To accompany this appetizing medley of sandwiches, salads include a lightly dressed herb flavored orzo salad, mouthwatering red bliss potato salad that you must try and a light shredded cabbage slaw.
